People should be wary of confusing the lack of desire to incorporate with a lack of innovative spirit.  There are lots of ways that barristers can operate together more innovatively and under a collective chambers' brand whilst still maintaining the advantages of independence of practice, and many sets are already demonstrating how effective this can be, generating a culture of challenge, change and development within their existing "traditional" structure.  That does not mean that incorporation is the wrong path - there will be many circumstances in which it will have considerable benefits as a business structure - but equally that does not mean that all who go down that path should necessarily be held up as entrepreneurial role models compared to those who pursue a different route.  A trailblazer can sometimes find that he's blazed wrong trail.
